Changelog
Last updated 8 October 2026
What changed, in plain language, newest first. NexPlan Linear is compared with Primavera P6 in rounds, and each round is listed here.
6–7 October 2026
- Baselines as P6 shows them. Four slots (Project Baseline, BL1, BL2, BL3), 84 baseline and variance columns, and baselines from another project or an XER file, with a report of which activity IDs matched.
- Checked against P6. About 85,000 baseline cells compared with P6 in two tests: 0 different.
- Early and Late dates of started and finished work as P6 shows them.
- Gantt baseline bars. A lane under each bar for each baseline you choose in the Bars window, one baseline by default, also on WBS group bands.
- Gantt printing. Print the Gantt as it is on screen, or save it as a vector PDF.
- Baselines and Save baseline windows redesigned, and both can be moved.
4–5 October 2026
- Scheduling checked against P6 in four rounds of random test programmes: resource-dependent work, progress override, SS lags, level of effort, night shifts and more. Fixes include decimal commas in XER numbers and re-dating of finished level-of-effort activities.
- Time-location chart. Enclose activities to select them, move a group, and get an offer of a soft constraint.
- Free float through links into a level of effort, and external late finish, as P6.
Planned next
- Update Baseline and Restore Baseline, tested against P6 in the next comparison round.
- Relationship lines and non-Latin text (such as Arabic) in the printed Gantt.
- More comparison rounds against P6, including levelled programmes.
